Hyderabad Local User's Group Meeting

Faculty members discuss issues with teaching CAE

thumbnail CAE - for undergraduates: Faced with growing requirements from the industry, how can colleges expand the skills of their undergraduate students? Except for the Osmania University's College of Engineering, other colleges have more under-graduate than post-graduate students. Introducing this pool of students to CAE has its pros and cons, but there's no escaping the fact that this is a bullet that has to be bitten if the industry has to grow.

A review of the project templates, Student Guides and Instructor's Manuals raised the question: perhaps several of these projects can be introduced not just at the 4th year, but even at the 3rd year itself.

Faculty members also reviewed the Technical Forum, and chose special-interest areas allied with their research interests.

The next meeting will be held at the Osmania University, in the Engineering College - 31st October and 1st November.
